IAHD Rotors to Regulators Program American Heroes in Diving!
Indian Valley Scuba, in conjunction with the International Association for Handicapped Divers, is currently working with the United States Army to secure several CH-47 Chinook helicopters for sinking at selected dive training sites in the region.
The Rotors to Regulators program is dedicated to helping our combat-wounded veterans return to civilian life after the service, and to resume or begin a full range of healthy lifetstyle and sports activities. Many of these heroes would never have had the opportunity to enjoy sport of scuba diving without a properly skilled scuba training facility to support the program.
Selected groups of wounded and disabled American military veterans will participate in each of the selected site programs. IAHD will provide complete scuba certification training and after the classroom and pool sessions, the divers will complete their open water checkout dives with a graduation dive on the newly sunk helicopters!
Indian Valley Scuba's skilled staff of IAHD-trained dive professionals fills this role to a 'T'! We conduct our classes in fully accessible ADA-compliant facilities, and our adaptive gear configurations are designed to accomodate any special need or challenge. Our current military disabled programs have us working with veterans of the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY. We are excited about bringing this program to the Northeast.
